Rockwall Founders Day Returns May 16 with Full Day of Festivities, Live Music, and Family Fun

Rockwall, TX – May 2026 – Rockwall’s signature community celebration is just around the corner. The Rockwall Founders Day Festival, presented by Hiley Chevrolet of Rockwall, returns on Saturday, May 16, offering a full day of entertainment, activities, and live music across downtown Rockwall and Harry Myers Park.

The event begins at 8 a.m. in historic downtown Rockwall with the Rockwall Farmers Market, followed by a variety of interactive and family-friendly experiences throughout the day.

At 11 a.m., Rockwall County’s Master Gardeners will host “The Founders Garden,” an interactive garden experience in San Jacinto Square designed for all ages. From noon to 4 p.m., attendees can enjoy the Downtown Rockwall Wine Walk, with glass purchases available in San Jacinto Square.

Festival activities shift to Harry Myers Park beginning at 1 p.m., where families can enjoy bounce houses, a rock-climbing wall, and a food court featuring local food trucks. A vendor market will be open until 5 p.m., alongside live animal shows and a DJ providing entertainment throughout the afternoon.

The evening lineup highlights why Rockwall is known as the “Free Live Music Capital of North Texas.” Live performances at Harry Myers Park include:

  • 5:30 p.m. – Billie Jo Jones
  • 6:45 p.m. – Randy Houser
  • 8:30 p.m. – Randy Rogers Band

The festival concludes at 9:30 p.m.

Parking and Transportation

All parking for Harry Myers Park will be off-site this year. Air-conditioned charter buses will transport attendees between designated paved parking lots and the park from 12:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Shuttle buses will include storage space for strollers, wagons, larger bags, and coolers. Handicap-accessible transportation will also be available.
