Rockwall, TX – September 2026 – ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Rockwall County has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Stroke Rehabilitation Certification, a nationally recognized symbol of quality that reflects the hospital’s commitment to providing safe, high-quality, evidence-based stroke rehabilitation.

The certification was awarded following a rigorous on-site review by a Joint Commission surveyor, who evaluated the hospital’s compliance with national standards for stroke rehabilitation. The review assessed the hospital’s patient care processes, interdisciplinary approach to treatment, use of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines, performance improvement efforts, and commitment to helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes following a stroke.

“Receiving this certification is a significant achievement for our hospital,” says Jason Hudson, CEO of ClearSky Rockwall County. “It reflects the commitment and expertise of the physicians, nurses, therapists, and support staff who work together to provide exceptional rehabilitative care. This achievement also recognizes our ability to meet the needs of the community by offering access to this level of stroke care, remaining focused on excellent outcomes so our patients can maximize recovery, regain independence, and return home to the activities they enjoy.”

The certification is part of The Joint Commission’s voluntary Disease-Specific Care Certification program, which recognizes organizations that meet rigorous standards for delivering specialized, evidence-based care. Certification requirements focus on:
