Popular Rockwall Car Show Celebrates 21 Years Supporting Local Children

Rockwall, TX – April 2026 – What began in 2005 as a small community gathering of just 40 cars raising approximately $2,600 has grown into one of the premier auto shows in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Now in its 21st year, Cars for CASA continues to make a powerful impact, benefiting Lone Star CASA and the children it serves in Rockwall and Kaufman Counties.

In 2025 alone, the event featured more than 400 vehicles and raised over $126,000. Last year also marked a major milestone, surpassing $1 million in total funds raised since the event began. This achievement reflects the generosity and dedication of the community.

Hosted by more than 40 committed volunteers from the Metro East Division of the Dallas Builders Association, Cars for CASA has grown steadily over the past two decades while maintaining its strong community roots.

“It is hard to believe we have been doing this for over 20 years, and even more incredible to see so many participants return year after year,” said Cars for CASA Co-founder Doug Bowerman.

“Our mission is to advocate for children who have experienced abuse or neglect, and it is inspiring to see how strongly that mission resonates throughout our community,” said Lone Star CASA’s Operations Director, Elizabeth Mosman.

This year’s event will take place on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at the Rockwall County Courthouse, 1111 E. Yellowjacket Ln., beginning at 10 a.m. This free, family-friendly event will showcase a wide variety of vehicles, from muscle cars and motorcycles to hot rods and custom builds. Attendees can also enjoy live music and local food trucks while supporting a meaningful cause.
