Poetry, TX – April 2026 – Poetry Community Christian School (PCCS) recently hosted its annual Speech Tournament on campus, bringing together students across multiple grade levels to showcase their communication skills and academic excellence. The event featured both Elementary and Secondary Divisions, highlighting a wide range of talent and dedication.
Top honors in the Secondary Division were awarded across several categories. In Duet Acting, winners included Bethany Adams, Grady Garvin, Haley Lozano, Chloe Reid, Gracie Johnson, and Sofia McKee. Prose Interpretation winners were Chloe Green, Enrik Martinez, and Dominick Peralta. In Declamation, Lily Spakes and Katalina Conejo earned top recognition, while Original Oratory winners included Layla Bunch, Alice Yoo, and Style Mack.
Elementary students competed in Bible Memory and Prose Interpretation, with top awards going to Kendra Palestina, Rosalynn Dominguez, and Abby Jorzig.
The tournament not only celebrated student achievement but also reinforced PCCS’s commitment to developing strong communication skills, confidence, and character in its students.
Looking ahead, PCCS will continue to build on this momentum as it prepares to host the Texas Christian Athletics League State Fine Arts Tournament next year, further establishing the school as a hub for academic and extracurricular excellence.
