Eugene “Boss” Carter, age 66 of Rowlett, TX, passed away May 27, 2020. He was born August 9, 1953, in Naples, TX, to Clifton and Lucille (Taylor) Carter. Boss was a resident of Rowlett for 22 years and a faithful member of Cornerstone Church. He had many passions in his life and if you knew him, you know the biggest one was God and his church. He was a loving family man and devoted friend and will be dearly missed.
Boss is survived by his wife: Louise Carter of Rowlett, TX; children: Jason Carter of Garland, TX, Tammy and Daniel Crow of Forney, TX, Sara and Aaron Money of Fate, TX; siblings: Jimmy Carter of Garland, TX, Doris Miller of Warrenton, MO, Charles Carter of Abilene, TX, Benny Carter of Garland, TX, Hal and Lynn Carter and Rex and Laura Carter of Royse City, TX, Joe Bob Carter of Gilmer, TX; grandchildren: Kaley and Emma Carter, Preston and Makenna Crow, Chloe and Emily Money. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother James.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, June 1, 2020, at Lakeshore Church in Rockwall with Pastor Brian Hiatt officiating. The family will gather with friends at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rowlett Location Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Boss’s name to the Cornerstone Church Building Fund, 8200 Schrade Road, Rowlett TX 75088.
