ROCKWALL, TEXAS (May 14, 2020)– On Thursday, May 14, 2020, Keller Williams associates from around the world will put their real estate businesses on pause to give back to their local communities on RED Day. RED Day, which stands for Renew, Energize and Donate, is a global day of service in its 12th year. Held on the second Thursday of May, the event mobilizes the company’s 170,000-plus associates in 1,000 offices to select a deserving charity or organization and dedicate the entire day to serving its recipients.
The Keller Williams Realty Rockwall office located in Trend Tower-Rockwall is reaching out and supporting Food Banks in the local communities we primarily serve, Rockwall, Hunt, Kaufman & portions of Dallas counties. Food pantries all over North Texas have seen a dramatic increase in demand over the last several weeks due to the coronavirus pandemic. In response, Keller Williams Realty Rockwall is offering a LIVE food donation drop-off point. Trend Tower at 2701 Sunset Ridge; Rockwall Saturday, May 9th from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. “We want to be able to give back. “We are blessed to be in business with the most kind-hearted people. Our industry has been impacted and people are still buying and selling houses and we just want to be able to ‘GIVE WHERE WE LIVE’ right now during these times” Tami Rexrode, KW Agent and RED Day Co-chair said.
The overall need for food donations has increased dramatically as many in our communities have lost their jobs and are forced to close their businesses. The need for food has spiked, overwhelming the resources of food banks. “We believe the citizens and our clients in Rockwall and the surrounding communities we serve are strong and people are ready and willing to step up and help us with this cause, stated Dana K Macalik, Team Leader and CEO. “This devotion to giving back to those in need is an inspiration to us all.” WHAT CAN YOU DO: You can help by bringing by dropping off food or financial donations to our office during the drive-by times listed above. You don’t even have to get out of your car; we will be ready to pick up your boxes of food. Financial donations are great too because the food bank can buy in bulk at wholesale prices, stretching the dollar further.
