Easter events to stream: Joel Osteen with Kanye West, Andrea Bocelli, and more

Joel Osteen with Kanye West, Mariah Carey and Tyler Perry

Lakewood Church, the Houston-based megachurch owned by televangelist Joel Osteen, will stream an Easter service with a star-studded lineup.

Osteen and his wife Victoria will provide an Easter message. The Houston megachurch’s Easter service will also feature remote performances by Kanye West accompanied by his Sunday Service Choir. Mariah Carey, is set to perform her 1993 classic “Hero” to honor those on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic. Tyler Perry is also expected to appear in the livestream event.

Osteen’s Easter Sunday services will stream Saturday at 7 pm and Sunday at 8:30 am and 11am. They will be available to watch live on Lakewoodchurch.com/Easter, as well as on FacebookYouTube, Roku, Apple TV and SiriusXM Channel 128.

Andrea Bocelli

Opera singer Andrea Bocelli will be performing to a livestream audience on Easter Sunday from the historic Duomo cathedral in Milan.

Bocelli will be accompanied by organist Emanuele Vianelli, Bocelli will sing at the historic cathedral without an audience as the Duomo, like most public places, is closed due to the pandemic. The concert, however, will be livestreamed on the tenor’s YouTube channel starting at noon on Sunday.

Easter from the Vatican

If you’re one of the early birds, Easter Mass presided over by Pope Francis, can be viewed on YouTube beginning at 3:55am, which is 10:55am in Vatican City.

Local churches

Most churches in Rockwall County, like many others around the world will be live streaming their services.
