Eddie Lee Bratton, age 89, of Nevada, TX, passed away October 4, 2022. He was born July 22, 1933, in Josephine, TX, to Ruby Lee (Wesbrook) and Oral Eddie Bratton. Eddie met his wife Joyce in Farmersville, TX, where they were married in 1953. He served in the United States Army. Eddie and Joyce raised their family in Josephine, TX. After his retirement from the Collin County Central Appraisal District, they moved to Colorado in 1989. In 2021, they returned to Texas. Eddie enjoyed hiking and mountain climbing, making stained glass, and collecting insulators. He loved his family and will be greatly missed by them.
Eddie is survived by his loving wife: Joyce Bratton; children: Danny Bratton, Debra Strickland and husband Keith, Deanna Joy Pollan and husband Scott, and Daniel lee Bratton and wife Kim; grandchildren: Desiree Strickland, Preston Bratton and wife Erica, Thomas Strickland and wife Leslie, Lauren Bratton, Trevor Bratton and wife Shayla, Jacob Pollan and wife Carly, Malori Harris and husband Ray, Haley Bratton, Brandi Roberts and husband Tyler, and Eddie Robert Bratton, eighteen great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ruby and Slatts Bratton; and sister: Wanda Joy Phennel.
Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall location. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Friday, October 7, 2022, at The Gathering at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall location.
