Silvia Zapata Cano, age 68 of Gainesville, Texas passed away March 13, 2022. She was born May 2, 1953, in Robstown, Texas to Jesus J. and Juana (Zapata) Cano. Silvia was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother . She was very caring and kind and had a big heart. Silvia was always willing to listen and help when she could. She took pride in being independent. Silvia loved working with her hands so she would fix anything she could. She had a passion for eagles and dreamcatchers. Silvia enjoyed thrifting and watching National Geographic. Silvia will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew her.

Silvia is survived by her four daughters: Joann, Margie, Sylvia and Tami De Los Santos; 12 grandchildren: Nacoya Williamson, Teara Williamson, Julio De Los Santos, Preciosa Espada, Diana Espada, Mark Jackson Jr., Tiashia Jackson, John Cano, Joakim Bardalez, Elissa Hansen, Andrea Hansen, Niko Hansen, and 4 great-grandchildren: Anthony Williamson, Travis Williamson, Taniylah Brown, and Santana Hawkins, 3 siblings: brothers Jesus Cano Jr. , Ricardo Cano, and sister Elsa Paredes. Numerous nieces and nephews as well as many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Jesus J. Cano and Juana Zapata Cano and 4 siblings, sisters Maria Luisa Ramirez , Jesusa De La Cruz , Manuela Flores, and brother Cosme (Coy) Cano

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Rest Haven Funeral Home Rowlett.
