Sandra Ann Davis, age 81 of Mesquite, TX, passed away March 30, 2022, from complications of a blood transfusion. Born in Midland, TX, April 4, 1940, her father’s occupation as a Geologist resulted in a move to Wichita Falls, TX, where she spent her formative years with Mother, Gladys O Davis, a school teacher, and Father, John Roland Davis (Jack), and brother Bobby. Another move to Caracas, Venezuela, where her father’s job took them for 2 years, was where brother John was born. Her sister Martha was born 12 years later in Wichita Falls.

Sandra was preceded in death by her mother Gladys O Davis, father John Roland Davis,
great niece Baby Chloe Renee Johnson, and beloved Aunt Anna Mae Davis of Lime Springs, IA. She is survived by sister Martha Davis Blann and husband Michael, Niece Shelly Ahlemeier and husband Michael, and children Luke, Evan, and Eli of Richardson; Nephew Richard Johnson and wife Patricia and Children Taylor, Joshua, and Maddie. Brothers Robert E. Davis of Albuquerque, NM, and Margaret Davis of Bayfield, CO, and children Mary Elliot and husband David of Eagle, AZ, and their children Karri Elliott of Arlington, Kelli and husband Wit of Saint Johns, AZ, and Cody Elliott; Bobby Jr. and sons Chad, Joshua, and Daniel; John Davis and wife Dara and child Cassidy; James Davis and wife Suesan of Bayfield, CO, and their children, Caleb, Oceana, Gavin, Nia; and Bryan Davis and wife Melinda of Centerville, VA, and their children, Annelies, Aedan, and Addie; John Richard Davis and wife Mary of Stephenson, WA, and children Mark and wife Manpreet of Portland, OR, and son Maxwell; daughter Melinda Davis and husband Matthew of Portland, OR; Mary De Santa Maria of Albuquerque, NM.

Sandra will be missed by all that have been blessed to be part of her life. She never knew a stranger. Her memory was something amazing. She had a kind heart and sweet spirit. She worked a variety of different jobs. Her 1st job was working as an Elevator Operator in the Staley Building in downtown Wichita Falls. She got to meet a lot of interesting people riding up and down all day long. She put in 37 years of Faithful Service at Fain Presbyterian Church in Wichita Falls and was presented with a plaque to honor her. Another plaque was presented for the combined years of working for WSC in her combined work at Sprague Electric, Shepard Air Force Base, and Packaging Paper Clips. She had another manufacturing plant job at Plug Well Specialties-Oil Field Equipment. She was never afraid to put in the hard work required.

Sandra absolutely loved Lime Springs, IA, where our father was born, and the family visited almost every Summer growing up. She had the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Mexico with her church and many other trips that Evergreen of Mesquite Retirement Apt offered via bus. She loved Word Search puzzle books, reading the paper from Lime Springs every week, playing Bunco, Dominos, and card games, and she was an avid history buff. Ask her a question and she probably knew the answer.
