Sean Dodd, 53 of Rockwall, Texas passed away New Years Day from complications of asthma.

He was one of a kind!!!!

He was born to John and Shirley Dodd and was the youngest of three. His parents preceded him in death as well as his beloved Toby (his dog).

He is survived by his sister: Monica (Mona) Wooten; his brother-in-law: Johnny Wooten; brother: Joni Dodd; nephews: John Wooten Jr and his wife Amy, Josh Wooten and his wife Stephanie; nieces: Scherie Dodd and Ashley Dodd; great-nephews: Jack, Caleb, and JJ; great-niece: Serenity; aunt: Jerry Burgett; former life partner: Barbara Holzinger; Brittany Holzinger whom he considered his daughter; and many cousins and friends.

Our hearts are hurting, Sean was loved by so many people and he loved others so deeply. He left so unexpectedly and way too young. He was born in California but only stayed a few months there and headed to Texas where he spent most of his life. He grew up in Rockwall, Texas but set off to Florida for new adventures, he stayed there for many years then moved to Georgia for a while, and then ended up back home in Rockwall. He was very passionate about music, always was, he played in bands, he played mostly drums but he sang and also played guitar he got his love for music from his dad. He loved going to concerts and listening to music. He just recently wrote his own music and produced a wonderful video that he dedicated to his Dad called Giving Thanks. He was a Harley guy, loved taking long rides on his bike. He said it was his therapy, that his rides always helped him clear his head. He worked very hard all of his life doing construction work, he didn’t love it but he was really good at it. He just recently changed careers to work in the Insurance field, he was very excited to be in his new role. He took pride in everything he did, especially playing sports when he was growing up!! He was an all-around star when it came to any sports, one of his coaches said “he was the best player he had ever coached”!! Sean also had his own vocabulary for those of you who knew him, you know what I mean! He had special names for the people he loved and we will never forget them. He was a very funny guy, always the life of the party.
