Juanita Flores Hakul was born September 10, 1951, in Uvalde, TX, to Antonio Flores and Felipa H. Sendejas. She was one of eleven children, married to Charles “Chuck” Hakul, and dedicated her life to serving Christ.

Juanita led services alongside her mother at La Nueva Jerusalem as an evangelist and later preached at multiple churches across the country. She continued to be a pillar of strength and the matriarch for her loved ones until her passing on January 13, 2022, in Garland, TX.

She is survived by her children: Jesse Aguilar (Sandra), Teresa Hill (JD), Monica Hernandez, Andrew Aguilar (Angela) and Lillian Weaver (Brent); grandchildren: Ashley, Christian, Justin, Aaron, Adam, Abram, Alex, Adrienne, Krista, Lauren, Breanna, Rowen and Judson; seven great-grandchildren; sister: Erma Saracho; brothers: Ignacio “Dido” Sendejas, Al Flores and Jimmy Sendejas; and other extended family and friends.

Juanita should always be remembered by her love for Christ, the never-ending love she had for her mother and the unconditional love she held for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family.

“For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.”
II Timothy 4:6-8
