Johnny Lee Cowan, age 83, of Rockwall, TX, passed away January 24, 2022. He was born October 19, 1938, in Ballinger, TX, to Audrell Lee Cowan and Ruby Adele (Stubblefield) Cowan.

A faithful son, loyal brother, devoted husband, loving dad, and proud pawpaw, Johnny was always known as a dependable person with high integrity and a keen sense of humor. He provided well for his family, enthusiastically supported the interests of his kids and grandkids, and never stopped adoring his beautiful wife.

Johnny was a role model and mentor to his co-workers as he succeeded in several different career paths that included pharmaceutical sales, manufactured housing sales, and auto sales. He had a variety of lifelong friends – some enjoying many fun stories of being Levelland High School and Texas Western College football team mates, and others having fond memories of attending church activities together, especially singing acapella gospel hymns.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 58 years: Elizabeth Cowan; daughter: Christian Socquet and husband Neil; son: Cameron Cowan and wife Katie; daughter: Channing Lackland; grandchildren: Sydney, Sabrina, Noah, Emily, Connor, Parker and Chloe; brother: H.A. Cowan; and sister: Glenda Jones and husband Lee. He was preceded in death by his parents.
