Elzie June Newsom passed away peacefully on December 11, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones at the home of her daughter in Rowlett, TX. She was 91 years of age. June was born October 17, 1930, in Cleburne, TX, to Elzie Rufuss and Hattie (Stubblefield) Crowley. While in Cleburne, she met and married Billy Ray Newsom and they shared 70 wonderful years before his death. June and Billy worked in electronics and moved to the Garland area around 1960. She never met anyone she did not like or love, and everyone loved her back. To her family and friends she was the most beautiful angel on earth.
June is survived by 3 of her 4 children: Tom Newsome, Sharon Newsom, and Mike Newsome; 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 13 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Wanda Newsom Roland in 2012, a niece and a nephew.
