Martha Dean Ferrell

Martha Dean Ferrell, a longtime resident of Garland, TX, passed away October 1, 2021, at the age of 91. She was born January 3, 1930, in Tuscaloosa, AL, to Thomas Almus and Ottie Pearl (Homan) Cole. Martha was a longtime member of First Christian Church of Garland. Married for 68 years, she was a devoted and loving homemaker who will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.

Martha is survived by her daughter: Joanna Ferrell Jewett; son: Tom C. Ferrell and wife Carol; grandchildren: Katy Jewett Malone and husband Jay, Andrew C. Jewett and wife Jordan, Julie M. Jewett, A. Nichole Ferrell, Ryan C. Ferrell and wife Heather, Allyson G. Ferrell, Martha M. Fetzer and fiancé Corey, John M. Fetzer; 4 great-grandchildren; sister: Mildred Cole Lee; daughter-in-law: Mary Ferrell; son-in-law: Mark Fetzer; sister-in-law: Ruth Cole. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bryant Wesley Ferrell, son John C. Ferrell, daughter Pamela Ferrell Fetzer, and brother Tom Cole.

Graveside services will be 11:30 am Saturday, October 16, 2021, at New Colony Cemetery in New Colony, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, 115 S. Glenbrook Drive, Garland, TX 75040.
