Jack J. Jones, age 92, of Heath, passed away on October 19, 2021. He was born March 7, 1929, in Kaufman, TX, to Jesse Jackson Jones and Thara Mae (Wallace) Jones. Jack joined the Army as a young man, and he served in Germany during WWII. In 1972, he moved to Rockwall, TX. Jack met his wife, Joyce in Dallas and they enjoyed 57 years of marriage together. He was a man of strong faith. Jack loved his family and he was devoted to his church, Rockwall Free Methodist. In his free time, he enjoyed working in the yard. Jack’s presence will be deeply missed.
Jack is survived by his son: Darrell Jack Jones and wife Judy of McCalla, AL; daughter: Carolyn Crowell and husband Jeff Bryer of Rockwall, TX; grandchildren: Jeff Jones and wife Michelle of Houston, TX, Keith Tanoos and wife Cindy of Pahrump, NV, Chuck Crowell of Thousand Oaks, CA, and Christy Garza and husband Ernest of Frisco, TX; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife: Joyce Jones; and his parents.
Funeral services will be held 10:00am Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location, officiated by Pastor Tim Greenawalt. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will take place prior to the service beginning at 9:00am.
