Betty Lou (Brey) Colbert (Granny), 90, of Royse City, Texas, passed from this life on October 29, 2021. Betty was born on May 22, 1931, to James George Brey and Myrtle Estelle (Daniel) Brey, in East Dallas County, Texas.

She was employed with Oil Well Supply, The Dallas Times Herold Newspaper, Channel 5 Dallas, had an upholstery business with her husband Tommy, managed apartment complexes in East Dallas, and retired from the Rockwall County District Clerks Office at the young age of 81. Granny loved her family and if she was unable to see them on a regular basis, she would make sure to give them a call to say, “I love you darlin”. She loved people, and was always there to lend a helping hand to those down on their luck. Granny enjoyed reading, doing word search puzzles, riding around looking at the sights, finding new places to eat (no matter how far away), and hanging out with her dog, Harley.
