On Friday, September 24th 2021, Kiara Celine Heikes Parguian joined her Ate Jacqueline in Heaven at the age of 21.

Kiara was born on November 13th 1999, in Longwood, Florida to Jojo Parguian and Tess Heikes. Kiara was goofy, fun, sassy and upbeat. Her smile was famous amongst her peers. You could recognize her laugh amongst a sea of laughter. Kiara attended Garland High School where she became a Dashing Deb and Dashing Deb manager. In high school, she wanted to pursue teaching. Eventually, she found her true passion and decided to major in Sports Management at the University of North Texas. She was set to graduate in the Spring of 2022.

Growing up in the 2000’s (though she claimed to be a 90’s baby) Kiara spent her time watching the Disney channel and singing and dancing along with movies like High School Musical. Kiara knew every song like the back of her hand. She absolutely loved Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers. In her early teen years, she adored Justin Bieber and One Direction. Later in her teens and early 20s, she loved listening to Drake. Kiara loved going on walks in the early evening with her Mama Rose. She loved singing at the top of her lungs in the shower with the radio turned all the way up. She absolutely adored when she could take a long nap while it was raining outside. She loved the crisp, cool weather of Fall. Any opportunity she had, she would put on a hoodie and sweatpants. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, enjoying the little things in life.

Kiara was passionate about the sport of football. She followed two sports teams: Sooners football and the Cleveland Browns (yes, those Cleveland Browns). She spent her Saturdays watching Sooners football with her friends or her big brother, Kristian. She loved waiting to hear her big brother, Ranier’s newest music. She loved grabbing Starbucks with her two nephews and oldest sister, Jacqueline. She loved spending time with her sister, Kim, going on Target runs, shopping and goofing off any opportunity they had. She loved watching movies every Friday with her Dad. She loved to pretend to “cook” with her Mom. She loved every minute of what she did for the Bullitt Experience, even though it meant becoming a morning person to get to work on time. Kiara was so passionate about the work she did for the Bullitt Experience. She’d get up every morning at 5:30 AM with a purpose. She was just hitting her stride and had such a bright future ahead of her. Kiara will truly be missed by the people who loved her, but will never be without her, so long as they remember her smile and live like she did; to the fullest.

Kiara is survived by her mother: Tess; her father: Jojo; stepmom: Stephanie; her siblings: Kristian, Ranier, Anthony and Giancarlo; her sister-in-law, Kim; her nephews: Preston and Jaxon; her grandmother, Rose and countless uncles, aunts and cousins. Kiara was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Quintin Velasco Parguian, her maternal grandmother, Norma Heikes and her older sister, Jacqueline Rose Heikes Parguian.

Isaiah 60:22 – “When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen.”
