Cyril K. Congdon passed away in his sleep on August 26, 2021. Cyril is preceded in death by his wife Berman R. Congdon and his youngest daughter Vicki J. Heermans. Cyril and Bermah were married for 69 years.

Cyril was born in Covington, Oklahoma June 4, 1926. He was raised on a farm in Hunter, Oklahoma. He attended school at the Sinclair Oil field school then high school in Garber, Oklahoma. Cyril was drafted by the Army during World War II in his senior year. He and Bermah were married upon his return from the Army and became a welder in Garber for 20 years before moving to Dallas, Texas in 1965, in search of a better future for his family. He retired from welding in 2001 with his wife and remained in Texas.

He is survived by his children: Terry & Debbie Congdon, Sue & Jay Jordan; sons-in-law: Mike Heermans, Mike and Irene Grimes, and Charles Grimes and Randall Congdon; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
