Melvin Joe Graem “MJ”, a 24-year resident of Wylie, TX, passed away August 28, 2020, at the age of 85. He was born October 31, 1934, in Farmersville, TX, to Joe Graem and Bobbie Mae Graem. MJ was a member of First Baptist Church of Wylie. MJ was an amazing man and an even better Christian. On July 19, 1960 he was ordained a deacon at Bethel Baptist Church in Rockwall. He served as a deacon at First Baptist Church Rockwall as well. From September 1996-2019 he was a deacon for First Baptist Wylie and taught Sunday school class. He also worked worked for Lonestar Gas for 42 years and retired in 1994. MJ will be missed.

He is survived by his wife: Wanda Graem of 24 years; children: Melva Jo Graem and Fred Graem; grandchildren: Autumn Dieckmann, Melissa Hickmon, Courtney Graem; 6 great grandchildren; stepchildren: Cheryl Lindsay, Michael Patterson, Steve Patterson, and Ken Patterson; 8 step grandchildren; stepchildren: Karen McCarrell and Jimmy Butler; 6 step grandchildren; and 8 great step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife: Barbara Sears Graem; second wife: Zoe Patterson Graem; brothers: Delbert and Donald Graem; sisters: Bobbie Jo Graem and Bonnie Roach.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30pm on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at First Baptist Church in Wylie, TX, with Pastor Al Draper officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:30pm to 2:30pm prior to service beginning.
