Deborah Patricia Meeker

Deborah Patricia Meeker, 65, lost her battle to cancer on August 19, 2020. Deborah was born to Steve and Joanne Rodrigues, in Castro Valley, California, on March 25, 1955. She later relocated to Rowlett, Texas, where she spent many wonderful years with her family and friends.

Deborah was a kind soul with a heart of gold. She enjoyed ceramics, listening to music, singing, dancing, and had a larger than life personality. Deborah was a devoted Christian, whose love for the Lord brought many people to Him. In her early years, she completed cosmetology school, studied ministry, and accomplished anything she put her mind to. She was a hard worker and was fiercely independent. Deborah loved motorcycles and her cat, Gia. She had a special relationship with her grandchildren and absolutely adored her little Angel-Mace and her Lamb-Gabe.

She is survived by her mother, Joanne Gloria Duncan, sister, Caren Rodrigues, her children: Cameron Sarmiento and Christopher Sarmiento and wife Jamie; grandchildren: Mace and Gabriel Sarmiento; and a host of other family and friends who will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her father, her uncle: Kenneth Jensen, and her brother: Steven P. Rodrigues.

A funeral service will be held in Reflections Chapel at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location, on August 28, 2020, at 1:00 PM with Pastor Phil Alford officiating. A private interment will follow.
