Glen Holt, 84, a lifetime-resident of Lavon, Texas, passed away on July 29, 2020. Glen was born on April 18, 1936, to J.B. Holt and Maurine (Payton) Holt, in Lavon, Texas. Glen was a member at the Lavon Assembly of God church, in Lavon, Texas.
Glen was a carpenter by trade and an outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and guns. At one point, Glen was raising mules and training them to pull. Above all, Glen loved his family. One of his favorite past-times was messing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, teasing them for smiles and giggles. Glen will be missed by all who knew him.
Glen is survived by his son: Richard W. Holt and wife Margie; daughter: Sabrina Hargrave and husband Randy; son: Ronnie Holt; grandchildren: April Perkins and husband Kenneth, Chasidy Hall, Wendy Bunch and husband Jeremy, and Mandy Lindberg and husband Josh; step-children: Teresa Elliott and Richard Elliott and wife Leigh Ann; twelve great-grandchildren; sister: Janis Green; and brothers: Bobby Holt, and Andy Holt and wife Carol. He is preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Pat Holt; and his parents.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at 11:00 AM, in Rest Haven Memorial Park, in Rockwall, Texas.
