Carol Ann Vogt Sharp, beloved sister, and aunt went to be with her savior on July 26, 2020. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Gene Sharp.

An avid lover of music, Carol graduated from SMU, with a degree in music. She was a bright, talented pianist who taught hundreds of students for more than 40 years. Truly a master teacher, many sought her out, and she even taught up until her last week of life.

Carol loved to perform, as well, and she and her sister, Betty, performed musically for numerous church groups and other venues over the years.

Carol was very involved in the Garland Music Teacher’s Association throughout her career. She also served as a judge for numerous piano contests all over the state.

Carol had a deep love for Jesus Christ and often spoke of how the Lord strengthened her and worked in her daily life. Before her marriage, she had been on the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ, in Washington state. Later, and for several years, she served as a small group leader in Bible Study Fellowship. She loved singing in the choir and mentoring younger women at Lakepointe Church in Rockwall.

Carol is survived by her sister Betty (husband Bill Crenshaw); nieces Kristi (husband Dave) Padley of Purcellville, VA; Holly (husband Tony) Archer and family of Little Elm, TX; Nephew Craig (wife Christina) Crenshaw of Waco, TX and their families.

A celebration of Carol’s life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at 2 pm, at Lakepoint Church at 9150 Garland Road, Dallas, TX 75218.
