Ruby was a very devout Christian and an avid student of the Bible, having professed faith in God at an early age. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church Rockwall, having taught the Martha Sunday school class for 20 years. She greatly enjoyed planning her lessons. Ruby also served on the finance committee, helped with the children’s choir and was a member of the Joy Club. She was a very loving sister who was generous and caring to others. Those who knew her will miss her sweet spirit.

Ruby loved to travel and one of her favorite trips was the annual trip each summer to Colorado with her mother, her sister, Joyce, and her nephew, David. She also traveled extensively with her dear friend, Pat Hartin, and one time they drove all the way to Alaska and stayed six weeks.
