Richard Jay Leed, 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 24, 2020. Richard was born on September 13, 1952, in Dallas, Texas to the late Leroy Jacob Leed and Vivian Marcelle Newby. He is survived by his wife, Linda Leed, his two daughters, April Sullivan and Melissa Leed Eubanks, and his three grand-daughters, Madison Sullivan, Annabelle Mae Eubanks, and Harper Leed Eubanks.

Richard proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp from 1973-1979 and was stationed at both Camp Pendleton and overseas in Japan. During his service, Richard learned the mechanical trade and continued to work as a mechanic for Ford until he retired in 2008. Richard liked to stay busy and work with his hands building, tinkering, and repairing things. His favorite place to be was at the lake with his Uncle Larry fishing or just sitting outside with a cold Coors Light. Richard will be greatly missed but rejoins his parents, brother and sister, Roy Lee and Doris, and his beloved dogs, Sandy and Sophie.

A private service will be held Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home in Rockwall, Texas.
