Lloyd Michael Bunch, “Mike” to everyone who knew him, age 69, and a 36-year resident of Rockwall, TX, passed away June 26, 2020, following complications related to glioblastoma (brain cancer) which he was diagnosed with in February 2018. He was born April 14, 1951, in Farmersville, TX, to Lloyd Houston Bunch, Jr. and Ophelia (Wilkes) Bunch.

Mike was a 1969 Graduate from Garland High School, worked 20 or more years in the building industry before going to work for Kraft Food Service in 1991 where he eventually retired in 2014, then owned by US Foods, after 25 years of service. He retired a couple of years “earlier” than planned in order to spend more time with his elderly father who was 92 at the time, and long waited-for grandkids. While his battle with cancer was horrific and tolling on his body and spirits, he never complained, lost his smile, or his sense of humor along the way. He was extremely resilient and fought a hard battle. He was okay with whatever God’s plan was for him and did what he could to let his family know so they could accept his ultimate passing when He came for him. He was a loving and devoted family man and the best friend to many. His wit, humor, and compassion turned every person he met into a friend. He was one of a kind and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Lloyd is survived by his wife of 42 years: Linda Bunch; sons: Jonathan Bunch, and Houston and wife Erin: grandchildren: Jonathan James Bunch, Avery Kate Bunch, Austyn Lindsey Bunch, Jameson Dean Bunch, Charlotte Lynn Bunch; Siblings: Darla Jean Ostoja, Bobby and Rebecca Bunch, and Ann Bunch; In-laws: Ed and Bobbie King; Sisters-in-law: Cindy and Jimmy Hutching, Sandy Vaughan, and Sharon Easterling; brother-in-law: Tony King; and an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson: Memphis Bunch; and his sister: Carolyn “Sue” Burke.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 2, 2020, at North Cities United Pentecostal Church, 502 Belt Line Rd., Garland, TX 75040. A gathering will take place at the church prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, and after the service from 3:00 to 4:00 pm.
