The Texas Department of Public Safety says a man’s body was found Monday outside the Texas Workforce Commission building on the State Capitol grounds.
The bod was found by a security guard near the south entrance of the building at 101 E. 15th Street in downtown Austin.
DPS said the call came in before 8am on Monday.
The only thing DPS could confirm was that it was a man’s body. There was no other identifying information available. It was also unclear if there was foul play. The Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The man’s identity won’t be released until his family is notified, DPS said. The Texas Rangers are investigating.
