At 12:35am, the child had been located and is safe at this time.
We would like to thank all of the agencies who responded to this incident so quickly and assisted in locating this child, Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office, Fate DPS, Royse City FD, and all the members of the Northeast Texas Child Abduction Response Team. As the saying goes, its takes a village. We couldn’t do it without everyone’s help. God bless you all.
On January 13, 2020 at approximately 9:56 PM, Royse City Officers were dispatched to 7000 W I-30, Cypress Creek Apartments in reference to a possible abduction. Upon arrival, officers were told that a w/m, approximately 60 years of age, balding hair line was seen handcuffing what appeared to be a small child in the front passenger seat of a car.
The reporting party states that the child appeared to be 7-8 years of age, w/f, with brown straight hair. The male subject was observed pushing the child by her head down as the vehicle was leaving the complex. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a dark blue or black in color BMW 4-Dr sedan.
