ROCKWALL COUNTY- Weather permitting, traffic on SH 276 between SH 205 and FM 549 will shift from its existing cofiguration to a new alignment on October 9 at 9 p.m. Traffic will be placed on a newly constructed roadway so that the project can move to the next phase of construction. The existing SH 276 will terminate at TL Townsend Dr. and the new alignment of SH 276 will connect to SH 205 at Sids Rd. A traffic signal will be place at the new SH 276 and SH 205 intersection.
The closure is part of a $17.6 million project to reconstruct and widen SH 276 in Rockwall County. The project started in fall 2018 and is scheduled to finish in summer 2020.
