Rockwall WR Jaxon Smith breaks all-time receiving yards record for 6A division

Jaxon Smith broke the record for the all-time receiving yards during tonight’s game against the North Mesquite Stallions.

Including his 176 yards from the game last, Smith broke the previous record of 5,424 yards for a high school career.

Smith, a Rockwall High School senior, has committed to Ohio State, despite offers from more than twenty other colleges including Texas Tech, TCU, Notre Dame, SMU and the University of Texas. According to 247Sports, he ranks at number 56 nationally in the 2020 class, as well as number 9 nationally among 2020 receivers and number 7 overall in the state of Texas.
