The City of Forney will be hosting the inaugural ‘Brews on Bois d’Arc’, a craft-beer inspired, live-music, FREE event, in historic Downtown Forney from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on October 5. The event will highlight the craft-beer trend and showcase several of the amazing breweries that North Texas has to offer.

This event is more than just a wide array of ale, with more than six hours of live music scheduled. As it stands, the City has produced an eclectic lineup of live music that will be playing on the Main St. stage beginning at noon and continue throughout the event. The set list includes local bands ‘Southern Weather’, ‘Webb Avenue’ and headliner ‘Booty and the Hoefish’, along with Stevie Ray Vaughn tribute band “Texas Flood” and blues vocalist “Texas Johnny Boy”.

Forney-based Southern Weather was just featured in the Dallas Observer on their list of September’s best new music.

In addition to craft beer and live music, the event will also host a number of local and regional food vendors and trucks along Bois d’ Arc as well as balloon artists and face painters for children. All food and alcohol at the event will be available for purchase.

There will be eight breweries including TUPPS Brewery, Four Corners Brewing Co., Lakewood Brewing Company, Texas Ale Project, Martin House Brewing Company, REVOLVER BREWING, Austin Eastciders and Oak Highlands Brewery. There will also be non-craft beer options including wine from Landon Winery and domestic beers. Craft beer will be sold on draft and in cans.

Taster cards are available for purchase at Eno’s with a four ounce souvenir glass for the draft beer in case you want to get familiar with the brews being sold. You can also purchase the tasting cards and glass here. Pre-purchased cards and glasses are $15 and at the door they will be $20. The same beers that are on tap will be sold in cans as well. There will also be soft drinks available and The Forney Messenger and Eno’s will be providing plenty of water.

More information about the event can be found here.
