Bernice Lewing, age 88, of Seagoville, Texas, passed away on July 24, 2020. Bernice was born on January 21, 1932, to Eddie Lewing and Flossie Jane (Wells) Lewing, in Fisher, Louisiana.
Bernice was a missionary in the late ’50s and early ’60s, taking her kids from state to state on crusades for Christ. She was a commercial and residential, independent realtor and broker, and she owned her own real estate company. She enjoyed traveling, raising her kids and grandchildren, singing, and sewing. Bernice loved the Lord and her family, and she will be missed dearly.
Bernice is survived by her sons: Eddie Ray Graves, and Vernon Marvin Graves, Jr.; grandchildren: Ashley Lynn Graves, Heather Kristina Graves, Jessica Ashcraft, Sheila Stamey, Justin Ray Graves, and Aaron Silva Jones; great-grandchildren: David Michael Stamey, Delaney Ashcraft, Deacon Ashcraft and, Annalie Andrea Graves; sisters: Linda Sue Westfall, and Nancy Jane Westfall; and brother: Elmer Lewing. Bernice is preceded in death by her parents; her son: Daniel Paul Graves; her grandson, David Graves; her daughter-in-law: Suzann Atteberry Graves; and nephew: Bobbie James Westfall.
A private funeral service will be held at Reflections Chapel at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall location, with Pastor Jerrie Gillyard officiating. A gathering of friends will take place prior to the service. Interment to follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Rockwall, Texas.
