Charles Key Stanley, age 87, of Rockwall, TX, passed away on March 17, 2020. He was born November 19, 1932, in Cleburne, TX, to Jessie June Stanley and Ruby Jewel (Key) Stanley. Charles lived in the Rockwall area for over 60 years. He was a business owner and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War. Charles was an avid lover of dogs, animals, and scenic views. He loved to take photos. Charles will be deeply missed by everyone who loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife: Rita (Frasier) Stanley; sons: Paul Stanley of Garland, TX, Michael Stanley of Sherman, TX, Mark Stanley of Copeville, TX, and Kevin Stanley of Rockwall, TX; and daughter: Melanie Houchin of Rowlett, TX. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Helen Tidwell, Clara Furgeson, Eunice Huckabee, and Joann Markum; and brother: Gene Stanley.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 21, 2020, in Rest Haven Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will take place at Rest Haven Funeral Home prior to the graveside service beginning at 11:30 am.
