Nancy Ruth (Chaffin) Woody was the oldest of 4 children born to the late Pete and Mary Addie Chaffin. Nancy came into this world on March 20, 1939, in Barling, Arkansas, and went home on April 24, 2022. In 2017, she said goodbye to “Molly”, her lovable papillon for 13 years.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Vernon Woody (Rowlett, TX); sons: David Woody and wife Kim (Mansfield, TX), and Bruce Woody and wife Rebecca (Rowlett, TX); sisters: Linda Rye and husband Herschel (Barling, AR), Kathy Hogan and husband Dennis (Lucas, TX), and Pam Maisen and husband Robbie (Benton, AR); granddaughters: Jessica Smith and husband Kyle (Wylie, TX), Rachel Newell and husband Shawn (Farmersville, TX), Amy Dilday and husband John (Benbrook, TX), and Valerie Siebert and husband Austin (Freeburg, IL); three great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who will all miss Nancy dearly.
Funeral services are to be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022, beginning at 1:00 PM in Reflections Chapel at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall location. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. A gathering of friends, family and loved ones will take place Friday evening, April 29, 2022, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall location.
