Ann Constantz English, 89, of Rockwall, Texas, passed from this life on April 2, 2022. Ann was born on June 15, 1932, to George Doran Constantz and Neata Pearl (Becker) Constantz, in Canton, Missouri. Ann was a faithful member of Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas.
Ann was a wonderful example of what a wife and mother should be. Her top priorities were her faith in Christ, her husband and her children and it showed in everything she did. In the early years, she invested countless hours raising four children so Lowell could work the long hours needed to support the family and eventually start a successful business. During those tough times, money was tight but Ann still managed to create a rich home environment filled with special meals, laughter, love and music. Holidays were always special times no matter how the year had gone. Her love of music was on display most days with impromptu singing and practicing hymns on the piano. She served as church pianist for many years, sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and voice lessons. Ann was also a vigilant prayer warrior with a faithful servant’s heart. If anyone ever stepped foot in her home, she would always offer them something to eat or drink. Even as age and dementia would eventually take her strength and memory, she would still say “Can I get you something?”.
Ann is survived by her loving husband, Lowell D. English; children: Tina Davis and husband Jay, Doug English and wife Claire, Don English and wife Beverly, David English and wife Kathy; grandchildren: Christopher Roach and wife Katie, Candace Matison Roach, Brandon Davis and wife Tanya, Rachel English, Blake English, Jordan English, Grant English, Wade English, Emma English, Audrey English, Adam Fuller, Bryce Fuller; great-grandchildren: Megan Matison, Madelyn Roach, Molly Roach, Caroline Roach, Ben Davis, Olivia Davis, and Mary Claire Walter; along with a host of friends and loved ones who will all miss her dearly. Ann is preceded in death by her parents, George and Neata Constantz; siblings: J.C. Constantz, Quinn Constantz, Bob Constantz, George Constantz, Don Constantz, and Juanita Constantz.
A funeral service to celebrate Ann’s life is to be held on Friday, April 8, 2022, beginning at 10:00 AM, at Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, with Pastor Don Blackley officiating. A gathering of friends and loved ones will begin at 9:00 AM at the church. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park in Rockwall, Texas for those who would like to attend.
In lieu of gifts or flowers, the family requests donations be made in Ann’s name to Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church, Lone Star Paralysis Foundation or Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital.
