Jim was a Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather. His time that God granted him on this Earth was filled with fun, laughter, and love. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and supported his children and grandchildren in many ways throughout their lives. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to tease everyone. It was just one of the ways he showed love. He was passionate about sports, especially Oklahoma Sooners Football. He loved to go on extended cruises to amazing destinations with his wife, and they shared many thrilling adventures around the world together. Jim found great joy and peace being on the open ocean.

Jim is survived by his wife Kay Mythen, who he was married to for 59 years and was the love of his life; his son Mark Mythen, his wife Dianne, their daughter Mandy, daughter Shannon Garcia and her husband Ricardo; his daughter Kim Scott, her husband Jim, their son Jacob, son Jimmy and his wife Maddie, and their daughter Lumen; his son Scott Mythen, his wife Susan, and their daughters Josie and Mimi. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mable Mythen, his sister Delma Sanders and his brother Robbie Mythen.

Jim leaves behind an amazing legacy through his life, love, leadership, and all the lives he touched. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Jim is now soaring with the eagles and watching over us from Heaven.
