Thomas “Tommy” Kern White Sr., age 86, of Rockwall, Texas, passed away on November 10, 2021. He was born on November 18, 1935, in Joliet, Illinois to Thornton Field and Dorothy Rose White. Tommy grew up in Dallas and later became a long-time resident of Heath, Texas. He graduated from Jesuit High School in 1954 and attended North Texas State University. Tommy was a veteran of the Korean war. He met his wife Barbara in 1963. He owned Tommy White Automotive and was very active in coaching his boys and enjoying their sports and friends. Tommy sang in the Heath Methodist church choir for many years and was loved by all. He will be deeply missed.
Tommy is survived by his loving wife Barbara, brother Terry, sister Betty Ann, sons Kern and Duke, daughters-in-law Wendy and Cheryl, and grandchildren Jacob, Courtney, Brooke, Caleb, and Ana. His parents preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Heath First United Methodist Church. Lunch will follow.
