Lawrence Johnson Jr., age 65 of Rowlett, TX, passed away October 24, 2021. He was born October 23, 1956, in Lafayette, LA, to Lawrence Sr. and Cherry (Polk) Johnson. Lawrence married Sandra Antoine on June 20, 1980, in New Iberia, LA, and they shared 41 wonderful years. He retired from the U.S. Army and then chose a second career with Federal Express. He enjoyed golf as a hobby.
Lawrence is survived by his loving wife: Sandra Johnson; son: Xavier Lawrence Johnson; grandson: Ryan Anthony Johnson; sisters: Cheryl Johnson, Kimberly Johnson, and Kathy Calhoun; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Charles Polk and Saul Johnson.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 am Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Rest Haven Funeral Home Rowlett. Interment in Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery will be at a
later date.
