Samuel “Dean” Pinney

Samuel “Dean” Pinney, age 55, of Royse City, TX, went to be with the Lord on September 17, 2021. He was born May 20, 1966, in Hope, NM, to Herbert Dale Pinney, Sr. and Melba Jean (Hope) Pinney. Dean was a preacher at the First Christian Church of Royse City for 8 years. Dean also served as a youth pastor. Loving people was his passion. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. In his spare time, Dean enjoyed detailing cars and glass etching. He was the life of the party when it came to playing board games. Dean will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Dean is survived by his loving wife: Lisa Pinney; children: Tim Pinney and wife Courtney, Tom Pinney, Tobias Pinney and wife Tiffany, and D’Ann Pinney and husband Sean; grandchildren: Lilly Pinney, Rosie Pinney, and Samuel Fletcher; siblings: Dale Pinney, Linda Clavijo, Jennifer Chavira, and Jeannie Hughes-Runyan; and father: Herbert Pinney. He was preceded in death by his mother: Melba Pinney; sister: Lori Nij; daughter: Rachel Pinney and brothers: Danny, Donny, David, and Jonathan Pinney.

A celebration of Dean’s life will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Dallas Christian College, 2700 Christian Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75234.
