James Russell Truett, 56, of Rockwall, Texas, passed from this life on September 27, 2021. Russell was born to James Ray Truett and Dianna Lee (Lovell) Perry, on November 1, 1964, in Wills Point, Texas.
Russell lived in Rockwall all of his life, and was on the Rockwall Yellow Jacket’s Football team. He went to college for a while and worked at the Rockwall Office Supply for many years. He went on to work as a car salesman, but had to quit due to his health.
He knew and loved the Lord very much, and was of the Baptist faith. He lived to spoil Hanna and his dog, Tia. He was looking forward to becoming a “G-Paw” to Hadlee Grace. He was one of a kind. Russell was loved by everyone, and loved everyone.
Russell is survived by his only daughter: Hanna Ruth Truett and Hudson; granddaughter: Hadlee Smith; mother: Dianna Lee Perry; siblings: Angela Duzan and Tim, Judy Sanders and Jimmy, Kelly Matthews and Jim, Kathy Benton and Bobby, Carla Arnold and Danny, Kevin Perry and Diane; beloved furbaby: Tia; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who will all miss him dearly.
A funeral service to celebrate Russell is to be held on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 2:00 PM, at Rest Haven Funeral Home in Reflections Chapel. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park – Rockwall, Texas. The family will receive friends and loved ones beginning at 1:00 PM prior to the service.
