Betty Jo Curry, age 91 of Rowlett, TX, passed away September 27, 2021. She was born October 4, 1929, in Paris, TX, to Delbert E. and Mayme (Gillam) Permenter. Betty graduated high school in Abilene, and it was there on December 17, 1948, she married Thurman Lee Curry and they shared 63 wonderful years before his death in 2011. In 1967 they founded Micro Forms, Inc., as a job shop machine shop, which in 1973 transitioned into a metal stamping tool & die shop. In 1988 their sons assumed ownership of the family business and continue it today. Betty was of the Protestant faith and was active for many years in the Rowlett Friends of the Library and The Birthday Girls group. Her hobbies included fishing on the coast which she dearly loved, photography, quilting, and she was an avid reader.
Betty is survived by sons: David Curry and wife Sharon, and Daniel Curry all of Dallas, TX; daughter: Diane Davidson of Garland, TX; brother: Mark Permenter of Arlington, TX; grandchildren: Raechel McCarthy and husband Michael of New York, NY; great grandchildren: Jarvis McCarthy of New York and Brendan Curry of Houston, TX. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Mac and Ken Permenter, and grandson Brian Curry.
Funeral services will be held 10:00am Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Rest Haven Funeral Home Rowlett. Interment will follow in Big A Cemetery. Please join family and friends for visitation at the funeral home Friday from 5:00 to 7:00pm
