Joseph Stanley Emling, 79, a lifetime resident of Dallas County, passed from this life on August 20, 2021. Joseph was born on October 30, 1941, in Dallas, Texas, to Homer Emling and Wilda (Ward) Emling. Joseph was a proud veteran of the US Navy.
Stan was an avid car lover and a proud retiree of General Motors. He was a Navy veteran that served during the Vietnam war. He will be greatly missed by friends and family.
Joseph leaves behind to cherish his memories his daughter: Melissa Gatlin; grandchildren: Glen Gatlin, Skye Gatlin, and Jordan Gatlin; sister: Elizabeth Maxwell and husband Ronnie; brother: Donald Emling; and former son-in-law: Glen Gatlin, Jr.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents: Homer and Wilda Emling; grandson: Preston Gatlin; brother: Bob Emling; and mother-in-law: Reba Mercer.
