Community support helps fund year-round music education for local students
Rockwall, TX – February 19, 2026 – The Greater Rockwall Youth Symphony (GRYS) is celebrating early success from its partnership with Snooze Mattress, with $1,160 raised so far to support student tuition and music programming.
The funds raised already cover the full annual tuition for one student — providing 11 months of instruction from August through June. GRYS offers one of the most comprehensive youth orchestra programs in the region, including five full orchestra concerts, two string orchestra performances, and opportunities for chamber ensemble participation. In June, students also take part in a one-week, all-day intensive music camp — a distinctive feature not commonly offered by youth orchestras.
Snooze Mattress continues to donate 10% of all proceeds through February 23, meaning community members can still support GRYS by purchasing mattresses, pillows, sheets, mattress protectors, and other bedding products.

“Twenty-two of our 30 students from the summer program received full tuition waivers last year due to economic hardship,” said Amanda Casper, Executive Director and Founder of GRYS. “Community partnerships like this make it possible for us to continue offering high-quality music education to students regardless of their financial circumstances.”
Annual tuition for the full GRYS season is $1,125, while the standalone summer intensive program costs $475. Depending on total donations raised, funds may support year-round tuition or help offset summer program costs.
GRYS encourages the community to take advantage of the Snooze Mattress promotion before February 23 to continue supporting local young musicians.
