Rockwall, TX – July 16, 2025 – The first Texas Red Rally will bring Texas statewide elected officials and candidates and the GOP University to Rockwall County Republican voters this weekend. The Republican Party of Rockwall County is hosting the event on Saturday, July 19th, from 10am until 4pm at the County Courthouse – Liberty Hall, 1111 E Yellowjacket, Rockwall. Speakers include Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller, Texas Representative Mitch Little and former Trump official Aaron Reitz in his campaign for Texas Attorney General.
Texas Senator Bob Hall and Texas Representative Katrina Pierson will speak in the morning to give updates on the 89th legislative session and the upcoming Special Session that was called by Governor Greg Abbott for July 21.

Free books will be given to the first 50 guests to arrive. And free coffee and lunch will be available to all guests on a first-come, first-serve basis.
“For those who wonder what the Republican Party is all about, this is the day when they can ask questions and get some answers,” according to County Chair Sharon Henson. “We are excited to bring this one-of-a-kind event to Rockwall County, and we are very fortunate to have all these elected officials and candidates coming to the smallest county in Texas!”
Pre-registration is not necessary, but guests will be required to register at check-in. Uniformed security will be on duty.
The day will begin with prayer and pledges followed by GOP University 101 explaining the structure and roles of the party at every level – from local to state to national. This section will include conversation about the principles, platform, priorities and activities of the GOP. Later, party leadership will present opportunities to get involved through “What it Takes to be a Precinct Chair and be part of the local GOP.”
Candidates for many key Texas State races in the upcoming primary are coming to talk with voters about their vision for the offices they seek. In addition to the speakers already mentioned, these elected officials and/or candidates will also be speaking: Don Huffines – campaign for Texas Comptroller, Texas Senator Mayes Middleton – campaign for Texas Attorney General, Texas Senator Joan Huffman – campaign for Texas Attorney General, District Judge Ben Smith – for Texas 5th Court of Appeals and Matthew Kolodoski for Texas 5th Court of Appeals.
In response to the tragic central Texas flooding, the local GOP wants to offer assistance to the people and areas most affected and will have opportunities for financial donations to designated charitable sites. Another opportunity for donating locally is the Patriots Library in the GOP Headquarters. Guests are invited to bring a book or audio book to donate to this library that will loan out books free of charge to the public. Bring your new or gently used books about politics, politicians, American leaders, patriots and history on Saturday.
