ROCKWALL, TX – July 2025 – The stage is sizzling this summer at Rockwall Community Playhouse (RCP) with a vibrant lineup of performances showcasing heart, humor, and homegrown talent.
Kicking things off is the annual production from the beloved STAR (Special Theater at Rockwall) Players, featuring adults aged 16+ with Down syndrome from the Rockwall-Rowlett-Garland area. This year’s show, Broadway Junior Revue, promises big talent and even bigger inspiration as these incredible performers, supported by their onstage “Buddies,” bring joy and passion to the spotlight. Limited performances run Friday, July 18 at 7:30 PM and Saturday, July 19 at 2:30 PM.
Next up, the teens take the stage with Footloose, the high-energy musical packed with Top 40 hits and a powerful message about listening to and guiding the next generation. With a cast of talented young performers aged 13 to 19, this dynamic show runs July 25–27 and July 31–August 3, with performances at 7:30 PM and Sunday matinees at 2:30 PM.
Rounding out the season is the classic thriller Dial M for Murder, running September 19–October 5. This suspenseful tale of deception and intrigue will keep audiences on the edge of their seats. Auditions for the production will be held Saturday, August 2 at 1 PM.
