Rockwall Voices: Perspectives from the Community

We are excited to announce the launch of Rockwall Voices, the new Op-Ed section of The Rockwall Times. This space is dedicated to thoughtful discussion and diverse opinions, giving our community a platform to share perspectives on important issues, and personal experiences, and engage in constructive dialogue.

We’re Now Accepting Submissions for Op-Eds and Letters to the Editor!

  • Op-Eds: If you have an opinion on a current event, policy, or social issue that you want to share, we invite you to submit a traditional op-ed. Op-eds typically range from 600 to 800 words and should present a clear argument or unique viewpoint backed by evidence or personal insight.

  • Letters to the Editor: For those who want to counter or respond to opinions expressed in our op-eds, we also accept letters to the editor. These shorter pieces—usually around 100 to 300 words—provide a concise way to express agreement, or disagreement, or add context to existing discussions.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Op-Eds: Aim for 600-800 words.
  • Letters to the Editor: 100-300 words for direct responses.
  • Submissions should be original, thoughtful, and respectful.
  • Please include your name, and a brief bio (optional for publication).

Send your submissions to [email protected] with the subject line “Op-Ed Submission” or “Letter to the Editor Submission.” We look forward to reading your perspectives and enriching the conversation within our community.

Let your voice be heard in The Rockwall Times! Together, we can create a forum for open, meaningful, and respectful dialogue.
