Rockwall Rib Rub Run and Roll 2024 Promises a Day of Fun, Food, and Festivities

Rockwall, Texas – September 12, 2024 – The City of Rockwall is thrilled to announce the return of the much-anticipated annual event, the Rockwall Rib Rub Run and Roll, set to take place on Saturday, October 5th, 2024, at Harry Myers Park and Downtown Rockwall. This family-friendly event promises a full day of activities, including a BBQ competition, races, a car show, and live music.


Start the day off at Harry Myers Park with a stride in our 1 Mile, 5K, or 10K races, with runs beginning at 8:30 AM. Runners of all ages are encouraged to participate.

Following the race, the BBQ competition heats up as grill masters from around the region compete in categories such as Spare Ribs, ½ Chicken, and Brisket. The BBQ competition, officially sanctioned by the Outlaw BBQ Association, boasts an $80 entry fee for meat categories, with an additional $20 fee for those entering the Jackpot Beans contest. This competition is a perfect opportunity for BBQ enthusiasts to showcase their skills and savor some of the best flavors in Texas.

Car enthusiasts will not want to miss the Car Show hosted by Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club taking place in Downtown Rockwall from 9 AM to 2 PM. Participants are invited to register their classic and custom cars to compete for trophies and enjoy a day filled with automotive excellence.


Residents can also expect a day full of live music, pedal car races, and fun! The Rockwall Rib Rub Run and Roll is a perfect outing for families, food lovers, and fitness enthusiasts alike.
