Dorothy Christine Kingston was born January 2, 1945, in Neodesha, Kansas to Lloyd and Mable Genevieve Bretches. She was the youngest of four children. She attended Neodesha High School and graduated in 1963. She moved to Texas and raised two beautiful children, Mark and Jennifer. Dorothy worked at Levi Strauss as a seamstress, Texas Instruments assembling transistors, and White Motor Freight as a secretary.
