Jerri Lynn Peeples, age 75, of Rockwall, TX, passed away August 25, 2022. She was born September 15, 1946, in Garland, TX, to Geraldine (Hargis) Burton and Robert J. Collard. Jerri was a real estate appraiser and successful business owner in the Rockwall and Collin County area for more than 30 years. She was a talented artist; her work included stained glass, painting, charcoal sketches and drawings. Jerri enjoyed gardening and yardwork. She was a wonderful cook and loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed deeply.
Jerri is survived by her loving spouse: Michelle Young; daughters: Lynn Taylor and husband Scott, Shannon Weaver and husband Wayne, Angel Peeples and Shane Cox, and Angel Lynne; son: Mateo Collard Young; grandchildren: David Taylor, Mandee Taylor, Jessica Smyth, Zach Smyth, Katelyn Allen, Jordan Allen, Danielle Weaver, Chloe Weaver, and Ryan Weaver; great-grandchildren: Shaine Taylor, Noah Taylor, Carey Taylor, Tyler Allen, Michael Allen, Jackson Smyth, and Addison Smyth; sisters: Marian Turner and Margie Alemany; and numerous cousins and extended family. She was preceded in death by her mother: Geraldine Burton and stepfather Thurman Burton; father: Robert Collard and stepmother Dessie Collard.
A celebration of Jerri’s life will be held 10:00am Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home- Rockwall location.
