Sharon “Sherri” Claire Strack, a resident of Rockwall, TX, passed away March 26, 2022, at the age of 92. She was born January 12, 1930, in Mechanicsburg, OH, to Don McCabe and Hazel (Fisher) McCabe. Sherri was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church of Rockwall.
She loved and adored her family, and was always doing things for someone else. With a vibrant spirit, and an open friendly heart, she had many friends. She was an avid bridge player, book club enthusiast, and helping hand with many church activities. Sherri was always giving to worthy causes and organizations, and financially sponsoring children throughout her life. She also loved and supported elephants and visited many places around the world. She learned scuba diving at the age of 56, and continued to dive with her husband for 10 years. She was an exceptionally loving person who will be dearly missed by all known to her.
Sherri is survived by her son: Brad Strack and wife Cathy; daughters: Sherri Stewart, and Melony McConnell and husband Tom; her grandchildren: Jeremy Stewart, and Cody McConnell and wife Liz; and great-grandchildren: Allie, Maggie Mae, Evee Joy and Luella. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband: Ken; granddaughter: Megan McConnell; and her parents.
A celebration of Sherri’s life will be at 2:00pm, Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at First Presbyterian Church, 602 White Hills Drive, Rockwall.
